EMEA PRODUCT SERVICE MANAGER - ENGINES

The Engine Product Service Manager is responsible for the technical support to Internal parties (Product Business units, other Product Service Managers, Technical Literature group, training department) and External parties (District Service Managers, dealers) - EMEA wide. You will be answering to the Service Director.
The main responsibilities are:
• Identification and correction of technical product problems : based on field feedback, conducting root cause analysis and providing technical solutions
• OEM contract setup and Review : representing the service department in engine contract negotiation with OEM, and mitigate with OEM in case of dispute or non performances. Optimizing the number of partners.
• New Product Development : Follow up on new engine development, identify requirements for service support after sales (evt. with OEM engine supplier)
• Onsite Visits : Perform onsite customer/dealer visits, and troubleshooting and engine investigation
• Technical trainings : Assist in identifying and composing content for technical training material, assist where needed in technical training .
In terms of communication, you will interface with several departments internally (such as Marketing and Engineering), and external parties (Dealers, Key account customers and suppliers).
You region of responsibility will be of an international scale, with contact spread over the entire EMEA-region (mainly Europe). You hold and Engineering degree in Electromechanics / Mechanics, preferably specialized in engines.
You have:
• Extensive technical experience
• Excellent understanding of customer requirements
• Ability to negotiate and mitigate with OEM partners
• Well organized and able to manage multiple suppliers at different levels
In terms of experience you have 5 years similar position for engine manufacturer or large equipment sales company.
You are able to react quickly to both internal and external customer needs with problem resolution and pro-active customer support.
You will show process excellence by working closely with the product business unit, managing field problems with factories and suppliers - using quick field communication tools to provide timely information to field staff and distribution.
Finally the ability to identify priorities and balancing the requirements of the different stakeholders for technical support, training and documentation.
Willing to travel internationally.
